AMERICAN ICON: For the first time in nearly a century, Converse has redesigned the Chuck Taylor All

Meet the Chuck II

For the first time in 98 years, Converse has unveiled a new version of its iconic Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker.

The Chuck II, which hits stores next week, will use technology from its parent company- Nike, to make the flat sneaker lighter as well as add arch support using a sock liner made of Lunarlon.

Some may call it sacrilegious to make changes to this classic, but chuck fans, come on…Chuck Taylor’s have never been known to be comfortable shoes. There is no denying that Converse did a great job with making the shoe much more comfortable without sacrificing it’s historical style.

High-tops will retail for $75, compared to $55 for the original model.

So what do you think…are you guys going to cop?
